“Into The Unknown” Series, December 2020-July 2021

My main inspiration has always been from both physical and imagined structural spaces. The kinesthetics of layering and blending paint has allowed the expression of my personal relationships, experiences and mental health to come alive from my mind onto paper. As an empath and Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), I have found my current body of art to be both a release and a reflection on my growth as a person who can fully accept oneself.

The storytelling in music and songwriting has begun to influence me in such a way that my awareness of just a moment presents itself in the vivid, bold and sometimes iridescent color palette that blends and intertwines through lines and shapes within my pieces. As I continue to connect with the creative parts of myself and with others, my artwork reflects my increasing self-resilience to wrestle through my identity issues. Realizing that my trauma is global and common has pushed me to become a changemaker in how people view themselves, for the better. In each painting I hope to achieve a presence of acceptance, equality and self-love.
