Jovian Nights

As I have been spending more time in nature, my interests in our world and humanity have inspired a deeper understanding and acceptance of myself. Since the gas planets are visible in my hemisphere this June, the night sky has inspired a celestial and spiritual composition in Jovian Nights . As all Jovian planets are non-terrestrial planets, they directly contrast with our own Earthly planet. Just as the giant gas planets thick atmosphere’s keep particles from escaping into space, there is a pull between the calmness of the blue toned color palette and the dark, bold restricting lines and forms closing in from the edges of Jovian Nights. Like my mental and physical states of being, I float between the dark and the light, the restricted parts of myself and the parts I am learning to set free.
