Mental Freeze

Mental Freeze is a phrase I hear in many lyrics, from 1993’s No Aloha by The Breeders to 2019’s Astronaut in the Ocean by Masked Wolf. As I continue to work on my mental health, I strive to make myself better as a human being, a mother, a partner and an artist. Mental Freeze represents one of those times when you have to put everything on hold, leave it in a drawer for later and take a breather. Learning to allow myself to feel mentally frozen has been emotionally releasing as I work towards completely and deeply accepting myself as I am.
