“A Purge” was purposely titled to begin with “A” rather than “The” for the sole reason of declaring how one’s life is an ongoing journey. A purge is meant to free and clear, to cleanse or purify. This painting represents how to show ourselves the compassion and love we desire. while growing into ourselves. Deepening our understanding of our place in the world. This painting started as a figure painting and quickly became a literal release of energy. The vibrant lines, shapes and colors are exploding off the page in this whimsical purge.
