The paintings from April 2021 show a glimpse of my power and strength within. Sympathy for the Devil is an obvious nod to the classic Rolling Stones hit. The song suggests society still represses differences and individuality. This painting is my activist-self coming to the front line of this social dialogue. Sympathy for the Devil represents the message that community built on mutual respect, compassion and equality is desired.
